Did you know that women make up 50% of VUE's management team?

Every year, organisations and individuals across the world celebrate the achievements women have made and raise awareness about the difficulties they face as part of International Women's Day. The United Nations' theme this year is #EmbraceEquity which hopes to highlight the importance of providing women with the necessary resources and opportunities they need to achieve full equality, challenge gender stereotypes, call out discrimination, draw attention to bias and seek out inclusion.

Transport is one example of an industry that is overwhelmingly represented by men. Women make up 47% of the UK workforce yet account for only 20% of workers in the transport sector. This figure decreases to 14% in land transport and a mere 1% in truck driving. International Women's Day is a great opportunity to highlight the work the women in your business are doing, and take a strong stance against discriminatory comments or any type of behaviour that encourages a sexist culture.
